The Institute’s Paul Manolis Distinguished Lecture Series, for example, continues to bring prominent Orthodox scholars from throughout the world to our communities. Previous lectures have included Archbishop Anastasios Yannoulatos, Bishop Kallistos Ware, Jaroslav Pelikan, Sir Dimitri Meyendorff, Lydia Black, Christos Yannaras, Kyriaki Karidoyanes FitzGerald, and other internationally known scholars.
Around the feast Day honoring our Chapel’s patron St. Demetrios (October 26), the Institute brings a noted scholar for an annual lecture. Speakers have included Rev. Stanley Harakas, Dr. Peter Bouteneff, Rev. Luke Veronis, and Jim Forest.
The intensive program of courses and lectures is offered in June. The Summer Institute has a different focus each year with instructors and participants coming from across the United States.
