His Eminence Metropolitan Nikitas, Director of the Patriarch Athenagoras Orthodox Institute, has joined a diverse group of scholars for the Fifth Meeting of the Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders to discuss the issue of "Friendship Across Religions".  The event is taking place in Oxford, England and features the participation of clergy, scholars, philanthropists and community leaders from across the globe.  The participants will meet for four days to discuss the meaning of friendship in the context of inter-religious dialogue.  Metropolitan Nikitas and Dr. Demetra Koukoura, Professor at the Aristotelean University of Thessaloniki, represent the Ecumenical Patriarchate on the Steering Committee of the Elijah Interfaith Institute.    Information about the history, efforts and mission of the Elijah Interfaith Institute can be found at the following site: www.elijah-interfaith.org
